  1. Today: pendant #1 goes on the collar. Pendant #2 stays in its sealed packaging — factory-fresh until it's needed.
  2. Month 10: check-in. The pendant is still inside its wear period; this is just your two-month runway.
  3. Month 12: swap day. Open the pouch, clip on pendant #2 — continuous repellent action into year two, locked in at the price you already paid.
